White marble with black veining
Meridian is white marble crossed with black veining, light and dark pressed into balance by the earth over a very long time. The veining is different on every handle, so no two knives in the set are quite alike. It suits a table that likes contrast kept clean.
On the hardware: Nickel Silver keeps the black and white crisp. Naval Brass warms the marble.
The knife
Atri is the steak knife of the voyager, made for the table it travels to. It is thinner, lighter and European in geometry. The same table, another location. A plain edge draws clean through the cut instead of sawing at it. Elegant and exact, it is a different discipline from our Aurochs steak knife.
Each blade is American-made CPM MagnaCut steel, hardened to 63-64 HRC and handcrafted in California. The stiction-less satin finish lets each slice fall away from the blade.
This set includes four Atri slim steak knives.
