OUR LOVE LANGUAGEIS FOOD
Bespoke, American-made knives. Cutting-edge steel, coastal California design, and natural materials. Part art, part function, part legacy.

Calafia
The Chef Knife — Ruler of the KitchenCalafia was the ruler of the mythical island of California - and she is the ruler of your kitchen. This is where cooking begins. Designed with balance and geometry, engineered to carry most of the kitchen's work. Enduring and deliberate, because a chef knife should feel inevitable. Hand-tuned. Chosen first, trusted over time.

Alta
The Utility Knife — Nothing Else Like ItOur most distinctive design where form and function meet in a compact tool, engineered for precision across everyday tasks. Crafted for repetitive work that lives between extremes. Quick, confident and always at hand. Made for agility, balance and control. Familiar and used often.

CATALINA
THE PARING KNIFE - MADE FOR CAREFUL HANDSNamed for Santa Catalina Island, after St. Catherine, patron saint of knife sharpeners. Every other knife in the range performs at a distance. Catalina closes it. Refined in form and engineered for control. Built for precise work at the ready. A tool for detail. Small in scale, it provides stability and accuracy. Intimate and personal. Made for careful hands.

AUROCHS
Steak KnivesThe Aurochs was the wild ancestor of modern domestic cattle. The ancient beast of this land. Its fossils have been recovered from the La Brea Tar Pits in the heart of Los Angeles. The Aurochs is the steak knife rooted in California's oldest beef country. Western in profile, primal, and built for the cut that matters most at the table.

ATRI
Made for the table it travels toAtri is the steak knife of the voyager. Thinner, lighter, and European in geometry. The same table, another location. A plain edge, drawn clean through the cut. Elegant and exact. A different discipline.

GEMSTONES
One of one. Formed over time, then cut one piece at a time. Each stone carries its own color, character, and natural history. No two are alike. No two knives are.
OLD GROWTH CALIFORNIA WOOD
Grown not made. Once alive, and still moving. Each handle is stabilized against time, then left to warm in the hand and deepen with use. The grain is a record of how the tree grew, and how the knife is held.

A Symbiosis ofNature and Technology
California gives us two things no other place can offer together: extraordinary natural beauty and the most advanced manufacturing on earth. We draw from both — in every knife we make.

Steel that had to be invented
CPM MagnaCut super-steel — the newest metallurgy in service of the oldest promise: sharpen it, keep it, hand it down.
The mosaic pins
An ode to those who came before us — circles within circles, the geometric fundamentals of the Aura, set by hand.
Nature, hand-selected
Rare gemstone and gold-veined marble, chosen for their wildness and set by hand. Precious stone from the earth, hand-finished in California into a form you keep.
Considered balance
Signature hardware, hand-crafted from marine brass — set for pivotal weight dispersion and considered balance in the hand.
Not an endorsementA real choice.
Aura California knives haven't been given to chefs by a contract. Intentional cooks can tell the difference — and these ones chose us anyway.

"I've cooked with knives that cost more and promised less. My hand finds them before I've thought about it — balanced, quiet, ready to work. When a tool disappears into the job like that, you stop owning it and start depending on it."
Chef Drew Andrade
Executive Chef

"Once you cook with one of these, you understand why everything else feels like a compromise. The balance is unlike anything I've used."
Chef Carlo Fernando Guardado
Executive Chef

"Most knives are sharp for a month and then they're a negotiation. These hold their edge and hold the line — I put them through service after service and they just answer. That's what you're paying for: the certainty in the cut."
Chef Daniel Lipson
Executive Chef

Made in Los AngelesCalifornia
